Description

A quick and delicious beef and broccoli stir-fry that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add the remaining oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, mix well, and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Can substitute beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
