- 6 slices of bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the egg mixture and gently fold until the bread is well coated.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the liquid.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top of each muffin.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- These muffins can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
- They can be served with maple syrup or fresh fruit for added flavor.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture.
