Description

Apple Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes are a delightful twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, combining the flavors of apple and cinnamon in a fun cupcake form.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples and walnuts, if using.
  7. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners.
  8. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the top of the batter in each cupcake.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
